Matthew is an award-winning journalist based in Chicago, Illinois.
He is currently a full-time reporter and photojournalist for Evanston Now and a freelance reporter and photojournalist available across the Chicagoland area.
He specializes in narrative writing and visual storytelling, humanizing and shining a light on issues of all kinds. He works closely with communities of different backgrounds and socio-economic standings to share stories that deeply affect our way of life.
He has covered breaking news, politics, protests, education, poverty, migrant crises, features stories, sports and more.
His work, either reporting, writing or photography, has been published in The New York Times, USA Today Network, Brookline.News, The Daily Free Press, The Bay State Banner and more. He has won awards for both his writing and photography.
